Beethoven on Halloween


If you're looking for activities besides Trick-Or-Treating this Halloween, the Toronto Symphony Orchestra has something fang-tastic in store for you!

On top of his infamous Symphony No. 5 (showcased in the picture above), TSO will also be playing a number of Beethoven's other compositions on Tuesday, October 31st 8pm at Roy Thompson Hall.

  1. Tradition is definitely an integral part of Halloween from its very start. Its no question then that lots of of our practices today originated from this time around period. A good example of these practices would be bobbing for apples. When Roman custom blended with Celtic custom, so does their celebrations. One festival nearby the time of Samhain was a day to honor the goddess of berries trees and shrubs, Pamona. Pamona is frequently symbolized as an apple, hence the present day day practice of bobbing for apples.
